Xcalak dive sites cover approximately fifteen miles of the reef and include include coral gardens, canyons, chimneys and walls.

Twenty miles offshore is the Banco Chinchorro.  An atoll 25 miles long and 10 miles wide. It consists of three separate island groups and is alive with multicolored coral, giant sponges, fish, lobster and conch. There are also shipwrecks to explore. Visibility is normally in excess of 100 feet.

Banco Chinchorro is so large you could not possibly dive it all in a lifetime, but you will probably be the only divers there.

DIVE XTC arranges all of our dive trips to the Chinchorro Banks. Chinchorro trips are priced at about $150.00 usd per person for a 3 tank full day trip with lunch and beverages provided.
